After several failed attempts I quit for a while. I didn’t quit the business I just quit putting up with my upline sponsors empty promises.
With that, I decided to start fresh and began reading heavily to educate myself. I also experimented with a few ideas using my own products and services with limited success.
During that time I learned to write my own effective ad copy, learned how to accumulate my own sales leads, learned how to obtain rankings in the major search engines, designed compelling (and not so compelling) websites, and learned NO the hard way.
To make a long story short, it seemed that whenever I attempted to do something for myself I failed but when I did something for someone else (without expecting anything in return) I excelled! That’s when it really hit me, if everyone just did one thing for someone else the world would be a much better place!
Then things started falling into place.
Using the knowledge I acquired from all of those books I read and applying it to a real business opportunity and then passing (giving) that knowledge on to my business associates through working their business with them I had a win, win situation for everyone!
With that I came up with two of my own golden rules of Network Marketing that still guide me to this day:
1. Never lead a new affiliate or business contact with a new business proposal.
2. Always promote your associates/downline/powerline first!
I’ll be happy to explain rule # 1 to you later, perhaps in an upcoming Blog but today I want to concentrate on rule #2.
If you were to promote every member of your network downline first as vigorously as you would promote your own business you would find yourself with one dedicated team of associates all working toward the same goal with the same amount of enthusiasm because everyone is working for one another to better themselves.
This may sound a bit twisted but I don’t know how else to say it.
Let me try an example.
Currently I am participating in a Global Business Opportunity http://www.ezinfocenter.com/10169284/FREE
and I am promoting it using The SpiderWeb Marketing System http://thespiderwebsystem.com/PowerOfGiving a powerful combination to be sure. Now every time I receive a notice of a new downline associate (sometimes several daily) I immediately gather the affiliate’s links and other vital information.
After collecting the data I submit the new affiliate links to the major search engines, post targeted ads around the world (if it is a global business) using several classified ads sites and immediately tell everyone I know about my newest online business partner.
I do this all for free before I even send the first greeting message and let the new associate know what I have done for them in that first welcome message. I also advise them to learn all they can about their new venture and encourage them make the same effort for their new associates as I have done for them. As new leads start to quickly fill the inbox of the new associate I have converted that associate into a team player, a business partner of our online business.
I let my business partners know up front that I will do everything in my power to help them succeed and I mean it, I prove it with every new affiliate that signs up! All I ever ask for in return is that they share the wealth of knowledge I have given them and to do everything they can to help their downline business partners succeed.
In conclusion, if you start with a solid business plan, market it with a great system and combine it with the Power Of Giving you will have one strong foundation on which to build yourself and your business partners’ massive income for life.
